Carla Gericke, JD, MFA, aka “Queen Quill,” practiced law as in-house counsel at Fortune 500 companies in Silicon Valley before redirecting her efforts to liberty activism and writing. In 2008, Carla moved from New York City to New Hampshire as part of the Free State Project (FSP). During the day, she is the program director of a NH-based arts non-profit, teaches writing, and in her vast “free time” is s-l-o-w-l-y working on a book about the FSP. In 2009-2010, Carla was the organizer of the Porcupine Freedom Festival (“Porcfest”), an annual gathering of thousands of liberty lovers hosted by the FSP in Lancaster, NH. Alexandra Goldburt escaped USSR in 1987 and settled in California in 1988. Being a life-long autodidact, she taught herself English and Spanish without any “formal” classes, and became proficient enough in both languages to interpret from one to another professionally and get paid for it.
